Adela Su Is Coming To The NRV!

Hello dancers!

Adela Su is coming to the NRV Sat, Nov 12th to teach private West Coast Swing lessons in Blacksburg, and a group workshop in Christiansburg!

Then we'll end up at Sapphire Ballroom's monthly dance that evening at 7:30pm to practice, play and socialize, http://www.sapphiredance.com/SocialEvents.php. The pre-dance lesson will be Nightclub!

Adela Su is a West Coast Swing dancer, instructor, competitor, event organizer and sponsor in Charlottesville, Virginia. She’s a long-time volunteer, a past-President and current Board of Director with the Charlottesville Swing Dance Society (CSDS). Adela has been a West Coast Swing instructor for 20+ years, offering private lessons and group classes with a fondness for technique/drills instruction. She’s a GPDIA certified instructor and has completed Myles & Tessa Cunningham Munroe's SLDM Dancer Development Program. Adela competes on the World Swing Dance Council circuit at the All Star level and in the Sophisticated and Masters divisions for Jack & Jills (random partner) and Strictly Swings (chosen partner); she’s also an Intermediate level Leader. Adela studies with the top professionals to keep up with current trends, for teacher training, to improve her own dancing, and loves sharing her knowledge and experiences with others.

Let us, Bonny and Lane, know your interest in private lessons and/or a group workshop on Sat, Nov 12th.Private Lessons are currently full but if you would like to be placed on a waitlist in case of cancellation you can let us know. Also, if there is a lot of interest we can try to have Adela back sooner than later! Privates will be held at Open Space Studios at 1711 North Main Street in Blacksburg and will be $75/hour for 1 to 2 people.

The group workshop will be at Sapphire Ballroom at 30. W Main St. Suite C, Christiansburg, VA and will be $15/person. The workshop will assume you know your basics; sugar pushes, passes, whips, starter and throw out. We will need an official RSVP by Nov 7th but would love to know sooner.
